Two incredible speakers for the colloquium of “Silvana”

The cultural journalist Júlia Bertran and the pianist Clara Peya, will talk about music, sexuality and feminism on the premiere of Silvana

We start the year 2019 as it deserves!

On Thursday, January 10, at 8:00 pm, we release Silvana at the Girona Cinemas in Barcelona (c / Girona, 175), the documentary talks about the rise to fame of rapper Silvana Imam, an icon of the queer community in Sweden. Lesbian, feminist and anti-racist has become the voice of a new generation of young people with their intransigent songs against all forms of oppression. The film directed by three girls, Mika Gustafson, Olivia Kastebring and Christina Tsiobanelis, this year has won the Best Documentary Award from the Swedish Film Academy.

After the screening we will have two luxury guests, Júlia Bertran and Clara Peya, to initiate a dialogue on issues of gender, music, sexuality and feminism.

Júlia Bertran is a cultural journalist specialized in performing arts. She has worked since 2005 on Televisió de Catalunya, being a writer and reporter on programs such as “Silenci?”, “Ànima” and “Tria33”. He has also worked for Catalunya Ràdio, iCat fm and Com Ràdio. She is currently a reporter for the program “Quan arribin els marcians” on TV3 and collaborates with Enderrock magazine. A year ago he published the book “M’estimes i em times” (Bridge), with dialogues and illustrations that question gender roles and roles.

Clara Peya, pianist and composer, is considered one of the most original and unique creators who have appeared in recent years in the music scene. Graduated in classical piano at the ESMUC (2007), she has studied Superior jazz and modern at Taller de Músics de Barcelona and has studied for more than 12 years at the Rimsky Korsakov conservatory in St. Petersburg. She is co-founder of the theater, dance and live music company “Les Impuxibles” and has composed several musics for theater and dance shows. A frantic biography that transits between music, theater and activism.
